The 23rd Psalm

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want: Lord you are my keeper and you supply all of my needs. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: Lord you are my rest. He leadeth me beside the still waters: Lord you are my peace. He restoreth my soul, Lord you are my restoration. He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Lord you are my leader. Yea thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me. Lord; even though I am going through what seems to be the largest and most fierce storm of my life; I will trust in you. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Lord you are my source of comfort. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies, Lord you are my protector. Thou anointest my head with oil: my cup runneth over. Lord you are my healer, and you give me joy in abundance.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: Lord, no matter what happens you will never leave me.  I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Lord, I will dwell in your presence forever. 

This passage is my all time favorite, because it just shows me that no matter what comes my way in life the Lord is always going to be there. The Lord is my strength, and my shield, my buckler, my shelter. The Lord is my defense in the time of trouble. There is nothing that comes my way that The Lord can't handle, there is nothing too big or too hard for my Lord. Even though I am facing one of the hardest trials of my life, I am able to walk with my head held high, because I know that my Lord has my back. I am able to lie down and rest worry free, because I know that my Lord has it all in control. 

The Mind Of Christ

Philippians 4:8 says: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of  a good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. I feel this is a very important scripture because if you let your mind wander from these things you will find that Satan has gained access to your mind. Your mind is the battle ground and you need to protect it and the only way to do that is to keep your mind solely on what is pure, honest, just, and most important of all virtuous and full of praise. By keeping your mind stayed on these things you are keeping you mind stayed on Jesus Christ.

Because He Lives

Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives all my fear is gone
And I know He holds my future
And life is worth the living just because He lives. 

I have chosen this song because it is one of my all time favorites; this is because Jesus Christ is my reason for living; without Him there is no reason for me to go on.

Positive Affirmations

Hebrews 10:21-23 says: And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; ( for he is faithful that promised;)

HEBREWS 3:1

1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and HighPriest of our *PROFESSION, Christ Jesus.

I believe there is a very large lesson to be learned from these scriptures. What we say has a very powerful impact on what happens in life, whether it be positive or negative. As a pilgrims going through this land of Satan's Eden where every where we go Satan is there to hound and pound on us at every turn. He loves to attack us mentally and physically to see if he can get us to break down. The only way we can ever overcome Satan is we need to keep our professions (confessions) positive. I am very thankful for a pastor who has taken the time to study and bring forth positive professions that do aide in our overcoming Satan and his attacks. The best way to get the best results is to repeat these positive affirmations before going to sleep at night and after first waking up in the morning. I also have positive affirmations written down and posted in my room where I repeat them out loud to myself and I found they really do work. 

Confession, subjectively: whom we profess to be ours, objectively: profession [confession] i. e.

what one professes [confesses]

Affirmations are short phrases that are repeated over and again. The main objective of affirmations is to "program" your subconscious Mind. The subconscious Mind is also sublime, that is to say it never, ever questions your instructions and never has alternative ideas. To the subconscious Mind whatever you say goes!
